Accounting & Tax Matters was formed by Julie Morrison in April 2007. Julie
was born and educated on the Fraser Coast. She attended university in
Rockhampton at the Central Queensland University and graduated with a
Bachelor of Business (major in Accounting) in 1997. From here she
undertook further study and graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Taxation
in 1998, once again from Central Queensland University.
Julie moved to the Gold Coast in 1999 and went to work for Carlisle Accountants (formerly Ash & Carlisle Pty Ltd). From here she moved to work as a Senior Accountant for The Navigator Network (formerly Gorrie Stokes & Associates). It is here that she was admitted as a CPA (Certified Practising Accountant).
Whilst on maternity leave in 2006 Julie gained registration as a Tax Agent.
In 2006 after the birth of her children, Julie decided to move her family back to the Fraser Coast, where she went to work for a local accounting firm.
Julie very quickly saw a need in the area for an Accountant specialising in the needs of individuals and small business, and hence Accounting & Tax Matters was born.
Here at Accounting & Tax Matters you will be treated as an individual, not a number. Your needs will be looked after by the same person from start to finish and from year to year. We will take a keen interest in your needs and aim to foster a lasting relationship with you and your business.
